I took this picture yesterday afternoon.
The comment-ator who most pleases me with his/her explanation of this snap shall win a copy of Going Home to a Landscape which includes work not only by me, but by some of the hottest, sexiest, brainiest, blogging-est Pinays on the net: The Chatelaine! The barbara jane! The Jean Vengua! The Gura! The Leny Strobel! and more.
But wait!
If per chance you are already the proud owner of Going Home to a Landscape and would rather receive a different prize, you have only to ask and you shall instead be granted a hardcover copy of Tess Holthe's When the Elephants Dance. If you already have both of these, then you are outta suerte. But do play along anyways.

A young ewok that's escaped the throng of Star Wars nerds--those who are buying up all the tickets and preventing me from seeing Episode III--and found this little grove to bear a strong resemblance to Endor??
a Sweet girl looking adorable as always.
Great picture - save it for contests. (I still like the bubble one though).

You are quite the sapient Bitch! I love what you are doing. I love creative Bitches, keep doing it!
Does a bear sh*t in the woods?
(HUSHED COMMENTATOR VOICE) Here we observe the Cuddly Monkey in its native habitat. Note how evolution has given it a method of being so darn cute that predators just stop and say "Awwww!" and can't bring themselves to devour voraciously except with hugs and kisses.
if a bear s**ts in the woods, does an ewok (who is way to cute to s**t)doo-doo in the agapanthus?
She watched the Wendy bird fly away without comment. Pretty little thing. Probably couldn't shoot worth a pea.
Peter and the rest of the lost boys were a pretty incompetent lot as a whole. The lost girls had managed many years to inhabit the island without their notice, allying with the Indians and the Mermaids who kept the she tribe a secret to all.
when was the last time you cut the grass? Could lose the kids out there!
Sorry to hog the air, but I'm also reminded of our buddy Max:
'And when he came to the place where the wild things are they roared their terrible roars and gnashed their terrible teeth and rolled their terrible eyes and showed their terrible claws till Max said "BE STILL!"
and tamed them with the magic trick
of staring into all their yellow eyes without blinking once and they were frightened and called him the most wild thing of all
and made him king of all wild things… '
If you go down to the woods today,
You're sure of a big surprise.
If you go down to the woods today,
You'd better go in disguise.
For every bear that ever there was
Will gather there for certain because
Today's the day the teddy bears have their picnic.
Ooooooh...you guys are good. I will make my decision by midnight tonight...
I think I cheated, posting twice. I'll understand if I'm DQ-ed. :P
Au contraire, young a.d.! In fact, I declare YOU the inaugural winner of the First-Ever Friday Photo-planation Contest. Why? Because when I took this picture I, too, thought of Where the Wild Things Are. Backchannel with your desired prize and your snail mail addy!
SUPER incredible honorable mention to the amazing Weez for the loveliest prose and the "girls rule, boys drool" theme.
SECOND honorable mention to my brother for surprising the heck outta me with teddy bear picnics and whatnot.
Thanks everyone! And happy weekend.
I have to agree with AD. He cheated. He should be disqualified immediately. And Weez. She should be disqualified too. Guess that makes ME the winner. Thanks. Just bring the book with you tomorrow... I already have "...Landscape", so I'll take the dancing Elephant book. Thanks. See you tomorrow. Don't forget to bring my prize. Thanks.
In any case, thanks for placing moi among the "sexiest brainiest hottest" category! I needed that!
jean
You're SUPER totally welcome...
